Atlantc Crossing – Day 5…. Eggs & Bacon on Deb’s Bread

In the last 24 hours – 146 miles covered

The early hours saw the wind change to an easterly and the we were able to put the Gennaker up and start sailing again. The wind combined with a moderate sea is giving us a definite motion on board so there’s a little bumping around going on as we move around the boat.

Skipper Says…it’s time for a good old English brunch today; so we enjoyed bacon, eggs and Debs’ homemade bread, all washed down with a Nespresso Coffee. Just perfect.

Tommy cooked up his Chocolate Fudge Brownie mix, which was yummy. And today we got close enough to J-Squared to throw four brownies across as we overtook them. It was lovely to be able to talk to them and again, another priceless moment on this amazing adventure.

We’re now on a course to Mindelo on Sao Vicente, along with J-Squared, so are aiming on an arrival there late Monday afternoon. Turn around may be quick as it looks like the winds across to Barbados may pick up next week, but at least it will give us chance to catch up on our messages. Might just have admit to the fact that we’re missing having interaction on Facebook!
